Mental Health First Aid

You could be the help someone needs by getting trained in mental health first aid. There are 2 course types, one which focuses on recognizing symptoms in adults and the other focuses on recognizing symptoms and needs in youth. Please see the course descriptions below and see which training opportunity may be right for you. A list of course offerings is on the right.

Adult Mental Health First Aid

This course is appropriate for anyone who wants to learn how to help an individual who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or concern.

Youth Mental Health First Aid

This course reviews the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents ages 12-18. It emphasizes the importance of early intervention and covers how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing mental health challenges. The Youth Course is intended for anyone over the age of 16 who wants to learn how to help young people.

Classes are free, but students must register!
(classes often fill 30 days prior)
